Is Pinot Grigio Wine okay to use for an Alfredo sauce?

I'm new to cooking and I just so happen to have some Pinot Grigio Wine and I wanted to use it for some Cajun Alfredo sauce. Is this wine okay to use for such sauces? Please help :)
