This "antique copper cooking device" is being advertised at a local auctions site without further specifications.
The vague description provided reads "with colander". But that doesn't seem a colander to me, as tilting the vessel will open the "lid". Also, the colander holes are too large for any reasonable purpose.
Does anybody have an idea of what was its intended usage?
