Add tart/sourness to food


So, sometimes, I'm trying to make a recipe and notice a lack of sourness ('cause I found that it's good to balance saltiness with sourness). I sometimes add tomatoes or lemon. Are there any other ingredients that con provide a sour taste? I'm sure vinegar is one, but I'm not sure where it makes sense to use it.


I don't have a particular dish in mind, I'm just looking for different ingredient ideas.
